Frequently asked questions
Straight answers on what we build, how fast we deploy, what it costs, and how we compare.
What does Immedia Power do?
Immedia Power builds the GX230, a 200 kW modular multi-fuel power unit that deploys on customer sites in about four weeks, versus the three to seven years typical for a grid upgrade. We run on natural gas, CNG, LPG, synthetic fuel, biofuel, or hydrogen blends. Core customers are EV fleet operators, data centers, industrial and commercial sites, and real-estate developers who are waiting on utility interconnection.
How long does a GX230 take to deploy?
Typical deployment is around four weeks from signed site survey to an energized unit. The GX230 is plug-and-play with a 1.4 m × 1.0 m × 2.0 m footprint (~15 ft²) and a 700 kg weight, so site preparation is minimal compared to a traditional genset pad or utility build-out.
What fuels does the GX230 run on?
The GX230 is fuel-agnostic. It supports natural gas, compressed natural gas (CNG), LPG, synthetic fuels, biofuels, and hydrogen blends. Customers can switch fuels based on local availability and price without changing the unit.
What does a GX230 cost?
We offer three business models: Equipment Sale, a 3-Year Lease, and Power-as-a-Service. Pricing is site-specific and depends on engineering, contract term, and volume. Use the Fleet Charging Simulator for an illustrative model, or contact sales for a binding quote tailored to your site.
How efficient is the GX230?
Total fuel-to-electrical efficiency is 36.5%, from 42% engine thermal efficiency (185 g/kWh BSFC) multiplied by 87% engine-to-grid conversion. For comparison, the industry average for distributed gensets in this size class is roughly 30%. Natural gas at $4/MMBTU delivers end-use electricity at about $0.037/kWh.
Can the GX230 replace a grid connection entirely?
Yes for many applications. The GX230 supports standalone, grid-tied, and microgrid operating modes. With a grid-forming inverter, it can run a site islanded or serve as the primary source while the utility connection is still being built. Multiple units can be paralleled to scale beyond 200 kW.
What markets does Immedia Power serve?
Primary verticals are EV fleet charging, data centers, industrial and commercial peak shaving, and real-estate developments waiting on grid interconnection. The common thread across all four is a site-level demand for power that exceeds what the utility can deliver in time to meet the customer's project deadline.
How does the GX230 compare to competitors like Mainspring or Bloom Energy?
The GX230 targets a different design point. It is roughly 5× more power-dense than conventional gensets in the same kW class, ramps to full output in under 5 seconds, and costs substantially less per kW than fuel cells like Bloom. Unlike Mainspring's linear generator architecture, the GX230 uses a high-performance internal combustion engine with a grid-forming inverter, which keeps maintenance within the skill set of any trained technician.
How do I get an ROI estimate for my facility?
Use the Fleet Charging Simulator. Select your business type, enter your site parameters, and it returns illustrative unit economics and a side-by-side comparison of the three business models. For a binding proposal with site engineering, contact sales.
Where is Immedia Power based?
Immedia Power is headquartered in Miami, Florida, with operations in Norway. The team is currently pre-pilot and actively raising a development round to take the GX230 from prototype to pilot delivery and pre-series production. Contact us for investor inquiries and deck requests.
